Katavi National Park safari offers one of Tanzania's most remote western wilderness experiences. Katavi is a true wilderness of floodplains, woodland, and extraordinary wildlife concentrations in the dry season. Visitors can witness huge herds of buffalo, elephants, and hippos around the Katuma River and Lake Katavi. The park is best visited from June to October when animals gather near water sources. Access is by charter flight from Arusha or Dar es Salaam, with basic camps offering an authentic bush experience.
